Isagenix® - Jim's story

As a cyclist, personal trainer, and former nationally ranked power lifter (competed in the 198 lbs. & 220 lbs. weight classes), I found that I was not able to perform to the athletic standards that I was accustomed. The problem: I had an unfavorable power to weight ratio and ironically, I’m actually pretty strong. In layman’s terms at 196 lbs., I was overweight. In medical terms, my body fat was at 24% which left me very close to being considered clinically OBESE! In athletic terms as a cyclist, I was a terror on the flats and down-hill, but always got dropped by my riding contemporaries on hills, and there are a lot of those in the northeast.

I felt like I was always on the verge of the diet break through! I even lost 10 pounds – 3 times in the last 5 years. I thought this would make me look and be the person I wanted to be, as well as model a healthy and lean physique a personal trainer should maintain. 10 lbs. was never enough and frustrated I gained it back.

At 57, I also had chronic knee & lower back discomfort, pressure was at 130/90, and signs of poor health creeping into my fasting blood work at my last couple medical exams. I had energy lags during the day and my drug of choice was coffee, which I drank to allowed me to meet the demands of my life. Mostly, I blamed all of the above problems on old age & hard living.

My girlfriend, Lori Foster, began Isagenix to deal with digestive problems and began to lose weight. This was really unfair as she was one of the people beating me up those hills during our rides! What made matters worse, is that I had a real attitude toward both MLM companies and “fad diet programs,” as I referred to them.

It began to dawn on me that my relationship with food and my way of thinking about it, left me not only overweight, but also unhealthy and on the verge of a huge potential health crisis. This was complicated by the fact that I ate what I felt was a healthy diet, I exercised … I rode my bike 120 miles/week., and I was just getting old!

So based on the Lori’s success, as well as others we knew also doing Isagenix, I decided to let Isagenix be in charge. I gave the reins to Isagenix and chose to be open to changing my relationship with eating and health, and get these potential morbidity issues under control.

And OMG … it worked. This is absolutely the best lifestyle decision that I have ever made. I’ve lost 30 pounds and every health indicator on my fasting blood test, for the first time in 20 years, is within healthy norms. My pressure is 104/78. And my power to weight ratio leaves me leading on climbs that I used to be chasing on.

I cannot believe that I have this wonderful gift, that I was able to give to myself, by simply getting involved with a company that put my health & wellness first and foremost, has allowed me to feel, look, and be the person I deserve to be. Additionally, it has also begun an exciting journey toward financial freedom and success.

Ironically. when I introduce this product to others, too often I am asked “How long are you going to stay on Isagenix”. I have a few great answers: First, I point out that my concerned friends should have asked me that same question about my nutritional choices when I was unhealthy and overweight. How long was I going to continue that and what did I expect to change? And second, I have a healthy nutritional lifestyle. I have gone from a weight loss plan, to a maintenance plan. The program is customizable, whether you want to lose weight, build lean muscle mass, or just improve overall health. Isagenix provides the nutrients I need to maintain my much needed health and well being. So perhaps the question should be, why would I ever not be on Isagenix?
